Wet areas are all detail and no open field, corners, floor traps, pipe penetrations, door thresholds and the junction where the floor meets the wall. That is why liquid-applied membrane suits them: it cures seamless, so there are no laps to fail. The work usually means lifting finishes, because a membrane has to sit on sound substrate and be dressed up the wall past the splash line. Nothing gets tiled back over it until it has been ponding tested.

Will you need to hack up my tiles?
Usually, yes. A membrane has to sit on sound substrate and be dressed properly into upstands and around floor traps, which in a wet area means lifting the finishes. Where a topical or injection solution is genuinely appropriate we will say so, but we will not pretend a surface coat fixes a failed membrane underneath it.
How long will the bathroom be out of action?
Typically three to seven days end to end, driven by curing time between coats and the ponding test rather than by how long the application takes. If you only have one bathroom, tell us at the quotation stage and we will sequence the work around that.
My downstairs neighbour is complaining about a damp ceiling. Is that my bathroom?
Often, but not always, water travels along slabs and conduits before it appears. That is worth diagnosing properly rather than assuming, because inter-floor leakage in Singapore is a shared matter and the documentation matters. Our leak detection service traces the actual source first.
Do you give a warranty?
Yes, in writing, with the term stated on your quotation before you commit. Wet area work is covered on the same basis as any other waterproofing we carry out.
